I read a post this week from a guy who just hit six weeks and his form four docs still aren't pending. His check was cashed in Atlanta weeks ago, and unfortunately his experience is becoming more common over just the last couple of months. I'm convinced we lost a friend in the BATF&E NFA branch when Director Kenneth Houtchins left earlier this year. Under Ken's leadership, the move from Washington to W. V. yielded the fastest transfer times most people had ever seen in addition to the friendly attitudes from the legal instrument examiners and other staff. It starts at the top and trickles down. It looks like the days of 30 to 45 day mail box to mail box transfers are going back to the way things were in when the NFA branch was located in Washington D.C. Transfers routinely took 6 to 9 months. I've personally had two local Form 4 transfers that took even longer with the Washington staff including one that took 14 months and required Congressional assistance to resolve. Thank you Ms Lucretia Fountain.... I've sure missed not having her as my examiner in West Virginia. I've got a couple of great stories of conversation I've had with her... They're much better told in person. Anyway, you can't make a post like this without sharing what toy you've got coming.

nothing as exciting as the stuff you guys have....have a Yankee Hill Stainless 223 can waiting on the paper..... I actually placed the order, and paid for the can 2 days before SHOT show....YHM took their sweet ass time filling the order.....and now it looks like ATF is going to do the same. Ah well......Several months back i got my SBR form1 back in just a few weeks. The can is just the latest effort on my part to make my little 10.5 incher the worlds heaviest sbr.

Nice! We love pictures... ;D THANKS! Yeah, it looks ATAS for a semi auto rifle, but I'd love to have that upper on my Colt. I'd say you need one more accessory to complete your gun. Here's a KILLER price on a RLL from a great guy who's local to us. Worth checking into IMHO. vegasshooters.proboards2.com/index.cgi?board=sale&action=display&thread=366Keep us posted on the approval date. It's nice to get a feel for BATF's approval times from month to month and individual versus trust or corp.
